The next thing you will notice is that the furnishings and decor are equally inviting, which makes for a serene and comfortable atmosphere. We believe that dental care should be a pleasant experience from the very beginning.
Dr. Stephen F. Wood DDS
Personalized dentistry has always been Dr. Wood’s goal. A native San Antonian, he graduated from MacArthur High School to receive his bachelor’s degree from UT Austin, with honors. As both a San Antonian and Longhorn at heart, Dr. Wood became a graduate of the University of Texas Health/Science Center at San Antonio, where he holds a degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery. One of Dr. Wood’s key underlying philosophies is that under the tooth is a real person. He believes in treating the whole person, not just the underlying issue.
Dr. Wood went on to build his private practice, a small office with a high level of personalized service, in San Antonio and has been successful here for three decades. The love and care for his dental practice is evident from the loyalty of Dr. Wood’s staff and patients. He has employed his current caring staff for almost a decade. Dr. Wood’s credo is “One doctor – one patient.” He gives 100 percent of his undivided attention to one patient at a time. If you want truly personal dental care, there is no better choice. Dr. Wood’s years of experience and training are also key to his success. Education is critical, but the wisdom of experience cannot be learned. Dr. Wood has both extensive education and experience.
When Dr. Wood isn’t busy with his practice, he frequents advanced level continuing education seminars around the country. And when he’s not busy with dentistry, Dr. Wood enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, hunting, and preparing gourmet meals.
Judy Austin Krause
Judy is a native Texan and has been a part of the team since 2001. As an Army Brat, she lived in Bamberg, Germany for 9 years. Judy graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1980. Judy and her husband John have been married since May 2017. Her favorite hobby is running agility with her Border Collies, Trey and Jett. Judy is a skilled and dedicated hygienist who is great at putting all of her patients at ease.
