The whitening product contains either hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide. These act as tooth bleaches that break the stains into smaller pieces that result in less concentrated color and brighter teeth.

Whitening Trays Procedure
Whitening Trays are custom-made for patients to whiten their teeth in the comfort of their own home. Dr. Wood will create a personalized gel whitening solution to put in the tray. These trays can be worn for either several hours a day or during the night for up to four weeks.
Laser whitening is a teeth whitening technique in which the gums are covered with rubber and a bleaching chemical is applied on the teeth. An argon laser beam is used to accelerate the process of bleaching by activating the bleaching chemical. This procedure is said to be 6 times more effective compared to other procedures. Laser whitening greatly increases the chances of experiencing tooth sensitivity, has a higher rate of shade relapse and does not allow for re-whitening or touch-ups. We prefer tray whitening because of reduced sensitivity, less shade relapse, and whitening touch-ups.
